Ladysmith’s shoreline got a little cleaner after 16 members of the Nanaimo Paddlers teamed up with volunteers from Ladysmith Maritime Society. The group does an annual clean up and this year Ladysmith was chosen. “We focused primarily on the Woods Island and the coastline including Slack Point,” said Linda McPhie of the paddlers. Dan Lutz ran the work boat and by noon two truck loads of garbage had been gathered for the dump.
