Aggie Hall Celebrates 100 Years

The Aggie
Did you know that Ladysmith’s Agricultural Hall, fondly called “the Aggie”, is celebrating a century of history this year?
A volunteer-led planning committee made has been working behind the scenes on a series of projects and events to mark this milestone.
Updates on the 100th anniversary can be found on this website and at Ladysmith Agricultural Hall Celebration on Facebook.
The hall was built in 1922 providing the community with a sense of identity and recreation. The Hall has hosted Agricultural Fairs, community dances and legendary rockers such as Roy Orbison and Jerry Lee Lewis.
Today the hall is just as vibrant although its uses have changed somewhat through the years. This is the Ladysmith Air Cadet Squadron home and a meeting place for LaFF and headquarters for most important community events.
