As everyone feels the pinch of this economy, and news is dire, we thought this September issue should celebrate our local business community — the people who show up for us every day. You’ll find stories and news with a bit of a business twist. We also visit a beloved business that has stood the test of time, Little Valley Collision, now in its 46th year. We will be bringing you more good news business stories in the coming issues because we are stronger together, and that means looking out for, and supporting our neighbourhood local businesses.
But change is inevitable, and as we continue publishing TAKE 5, now in its 30th year, we are reviewing our production and distribution system to keep us strong for years to come and to keep the magazine free. We’re working to grow our subscription base and reviewing our Canada Post delivery areas — your door-to-door delivery may be affected. Our goal remains the same: the best 100 percent local read at the lowest cost to advertisers. We never forget that it’s their ad revenue that carries us. If you are able to, please consider a subscription (a limited time discount of $35 a year). Your subscription will guarantee uninterrupted delivery to your door. Or if you like reading us online, sign up for our digital edition that arrives in your inbox along with a monthly calendar of events. Sign up for either at .
If after our review your delivery area isn’t affected, consider your subscription as a donation to supporting our 100% Canadian, local journalism. We are proud of the interns and writers we have mentored.
And that’s what keeps us strong. Go Canada Go!
